If the economy wasn't so horrible there wouldn't be a chance of legalization. YOU WILL NEVER GET WHAT YOU WANT THE FIRST TIME!! I feel like I am negotiating for Gaza Strip here..

If we pass Prop 19

California legalizes it.. Nevada follows in our footsteps but they do it better.. California amends to compete in clubs and etc.. Everyone keeps out doing the other and eventually we have real legalization.

If Prop 19 fails

You will hate the next one too, if it even makes it to the ballots again. Which I don't think so.

..uhh not really legal..it will still be a fed' crime so that word LEGAL really doesn't apply. The one ounce is legal is crap. Anyone can have an ounce these days and basically walk. LEGAL...oh pahlleeeeese dont' give me that jive. Legal for the 4 big Dam' clubs maybe...but not for us mom an poppers'

Make no mistake this law was DESIGNED TO REDISTRIBUTE THE MAJORITY OF CANNA BIZ' REVENUE among the people who wrote and promoted it.

They make is sound all revolutionary and ground breaking. I see them talking a big media legal game.

I guess they didn't predict the feds intervening...doh

And saying there won't be another chance for legaslation is a bit naive. It's California for petes' sake... and now that big biz wants the 'big piece of pie' so to speak..I believe they'll do anything to make it happen ie political contributions, bribes whatever.

I hope we get another law but this one is wrong and the sooner you realize that you'll be voting NO like the rest of the informed Cali folks..and the part about Nevada following suit..that's a stretch too. Booz is way too popular there and weed is in direct competition so who knows.

AND now that the feds have put their foot down lots of politicians are backing down

That's in jeopardy because that word was (coincidentally? I don't have an anti-Lee stance because I don't know him to make a judgement, but the omission of the word does benefit him as someone who has already made it known he will be pursuing a commercial growing license and limited medical growers to the 5x5 would eliminate his competition) left out of the section that protects 215.

The AG is not threatening people into voting a certain way. He's just reminding them that it's still illegal under federal law. At least the administration came out and said how they'd be handling it. I kind of thought they wouldn't since Obama still has another election to go through. This at least remind the pro-19 people that there is the costly and frustrating federal battle to be had.

My county doesn't have any city-approved dispensaries currently because every city has banned them. This prop just ensures that not only would we not be getting these new "pot stores" but dispensaries would now be under even more heat because now the feds would be back on their case checking to make sure they're not a "pot store."

Oh and in addition can we stop the gay bashing? I realize some of you may genuinely feel that way and I don't expect to change your belief system, but could we keep it off here? Please.

I honestly think the whole legalization bit is about 10 premature. Get all state rocking medical first, or at least 70%, then take a bite at legalization. trying to legalize now is honestly going to 1.) allow many other states to say "see, there is no medical value, its just to get it legalized 2.) kick back the MMJ movement as a whole as a legit resource for the sick.

crawl, walk, run. greedy cunts like dick slurp lee are going to fuck it alllllll up, mark my words, this bill will be the biggest regret in a couple years

Achei isso:

How will Prop 19 affect you?

• Are you age 18-20? You will not be allowed to consume cannabis legally under Prop 19. Currently, all you need is a medical recommendation to do so.

• Do you interact with anyone under age of 21? You will be looking at up to 6 months in jail for passing them a joint. (If the person is under 18 you will be looking at up to 7 years in prison.)

• Do you live in the same "space" and a minor? (Space could mean anything from the same house to an entire apartment complex.) You will not be allowed to consume cannabis.

• Do you rent your home? Prop 19 will only allow you to grow cannabis if you have permission from your landlord. Due to the risks involved, many (if not most) California landlords do not allow it. How is this legalization?

• Do you grow cannabis with a doctor recommendation? Prop 19 will likely be interpreted by law enforcement and judges to limit your grow space to 5′x5′.

• Do you provide your extra medical cannabis to dispensaries? It will be a crime to do so if Prop 19 passes. In addition, large Oakland growers and tobacco companies will take control of the market and push you out.

• Do you currently have to use your medical cannabis anywhere but home? Prop 19 will prevent patients from using their medicine anywhere in pubic. Which for many people with illnesses is not always possible.

• Do you sell your extra medical cannabis to other medical patients? Prop 19 will make this practice illegal. Even if you are only selling it to cover your growing cost.

• Do you currently enjoy the use of cannabis free from Government interference? Not only will the Government impose excessive taxes under Prop 19, but the federal government will likely respond with unprecedented action against California cannabis users. "The federal Controlled Substances Act makes it a felony to grow or sell cannabis. California can repeal its own marijuana laws, leaving enforcement to the feds. But it can’t legalize a federal felony. Therefore, any grower or seller paying California taxes on marijuana sales or filing pot-related California regulatory paperwork would be confessing, in writing, to multiple federal crimes."

sad that such a large amount of supporters of prop 19 will be voting to degrade the quality of weed and make it illegal for any person under 21 (even with medical cards) to use. handing over the industry to big tobacco, and create new felonies.
